About Skalonda
Skalonda was founded by local La Honda, California residents Chris Bouman (Trumpet) and Freddy Deubert (Drums) in 2022 out of a shared love of traditional roots Ska from the late 1950's and early 1960's. It is the precursor to Reggae with walking bass lines and the horns up front.
Local La Honda resident Sergio Tagliotti soon joined up on Saxophone and impromptu Skalonda rehearsals began to take place, often at Sergios home.
Over time, several different guest musicians would join some of the sessions but today, the current Skalonda lineup consists of some very accomplished local musicians: Ryan Triolo - Upright Bass, Craig Bennetts - Keyboard and Saxophone, Noah Hall - Baritone Sax, Michael Antoun - Tenor Sax, John Henry - Guitar, Dave Meyrovich - Guitar.
Skalonda is a new band and actively growing, with guest musicians often joining in. Keep an eye on the Skalonda website for any upcoming shows, we hope to see you there!
